Sponsored by China Welfare Institute and supported by INESA, the Awarding Ceremony for the 16th Soong Ching Ling Camphor Tree Award was held in China Women Activity Center on the afternoon of December 5.

Altogether, there are five winners of the award: Wang Yaping, an outstanding female astronaut of Chinese People's Liberation Army and the first Chinese teacher giving classes in space; Liu Pengzhi, principal of the High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China, who has explored the innovative development of secondary education with Chinese characteristics through reform and innovation; Chen Baihua, director of CWI Children’s Palace dedicated to the research and development of out-of-school education over the past thirty years; Fan Yuanda, an American professional in gynecology and obstetrics dedicated to promoting non-invasive delivery and international service pattern of obstetrics by traveling across China over the past years; Hai Fei, a world-famous representative and pioneer in the circle of news publishing for teenagers in China.
