[A Note from Li Xiaofeng]

Research in education can be divided into two aspects: "how to teach" and "what to teach." We believe the latter is significantly weaker than the former. From the perspective of teaching practice, relying on the textbook alone cannot completely solve the problem of "what to teach." To accurately elucidate historical issues related to teaching, build the logical framework of instruction, and achieve ideal educational outcomes, we must fully and deeply grasp the teaching content from the professional perspective of the history discipline. A good history class and an excellent history teacher cannot do without a deep professional foundation in the history discipline. Therefore, we hope to strengthen research into teaching issues grounded in the professional and academic background of the history discipline, improve the scientific rigor and professional standards of secondary school history teaching, and create more high-level history lessons.
